Paddleboarding to the Hidden Corners of Debeli Rtič
What do you need?
Yourself, good mood, and a backpack with basic equipment:
Swimwear and towel, sunscreen, and a cap
Location: Ankaran
Trip Itinerary
The Adria Ankaran camp is more than an excellent starting point, where in the shelter of a possible breeze, we can easily learn the first steps on a SUP. From here, we will glide over the water past the beautifully maintained Valdoltra beach and a small marina, where it seems that limpets are going wild, growing up to 1m in size.
Heading towards the lighthouse, we will observe a very low-lying flysch bottom, where schools of fish swim and sea stars gaze back at us.
We will use the rest at the lighthouse to jump into the sea and observe how at this point the bottom suddenly disappears into the depths.
We will end the trip by entering the Debeli Rtič landscape park and Cape St. Jernej, or we will return to the starting point.
Did you know?
The post about the landscape park emphasizes our commitment to respecting and preserving nature. While paddling through these protected waters, we will adhere to sustainable practices to ensure that our trips do not have a negative impact on the environment. This is an opportunity to learn more about the importance of protecting our planet while enjoying its beauty.
Everyone can join
The trip is suitable for anyone who loves the sea and is at least a little romantic at heart and would like to relax. The trip is meditative due to the extraordinary sunset. If there is interest, we will also perform a salute to the sun and possibly other exercises at sunset. If you are among those who love to get lost in natural wonders, join us.
